The origin of the blues dates back to XIX centurywhen the work songs who sang the African American slaves They crystallized into a new style that, in the 20th century, would give rise to many of the genres we know today.
The genre reached maximum popularity in the first decades of the 20th centuryespecially after 1920, when many of the most famous blues songs were recorded.
