Knowing the power of data, when she speaks, Pilar uses numbers to support her arguments. “There are many more deaths from cancer at the end of any given year than there have been in the Covid pandemic in the last three years. Every day more than 300 people die from cancer. I think it’s significant enough for us to wear the bow backwards, not just about breast cancer, but all bows“he insists.

We are not alone: ​​for me and for all my colleagues

Finally, Pilar asks us, “above all, to send a message that she says to herself but that she wants all those who may suffer from the disease at some point to hear: “we are not alone”.

Experience has taught him that “sometimes you feel very alone in this disease, but you build a network and you realize that there are many of us and that we all really want to support each other.”

Realizing this has made sharing the message something fundamental that they want to achieve with this challenge and with their communication on social networks. “For me, that was also a goal: raise your voice for me; And yes, I put myself forward, because I believe that in this illness one has to think a lot about oneself, but raise one’s voice for myself and for all my colleagues.
