Dior celebrates the power of timeless elegance with its new bag, “Toujours”

“Elegance must be the right combination of distinction, naturalness, care and simplicity. Outside of this, there is no elegance. Only pretension.” A phrase from Monsieur Christian Dior that the house continues to demonstrate with each of its releases.

This spring/summer, Dior invites us to dream of a model that promises to become an icon: Bag Toujours. As its name indicates (“toujours” means “always” in French), it is distinguished by its elegant, timeless and ultra-contemporary silhouette.

A subtle touch, an ingenious detail that evokes the ‘CD’ signature allows you to play with the shape of this model and modify it at will,” explains the house.

Available in three ways (small, medium and large) and three timeless colors (black, white and camel)it is a versatile model that stands out for its wide shape, its adjustable handles and its macrocannage, so characteristic of the house. Its leather strap closure keeps items secure while the D on the CD Lock closure rotates to adjust the sides and enhance the silhouette of the bag, which is also embossed with gold lettering. Made in Italy, it is representative of María Grazia Chiuri’s style: it is a bag intended for a modern, confident and versatile woman.

It is nothing less than “a celebration of the poetry of gesture, fusing the founding couturier’s heritage with the House’s enduring creative passion,” Dior concludes.

Presented for the first time in 2018 by María Grazia Chiuri, it is inspired by a drawing made by Marc Bohan, former creative director of the house, in 1967.
