Soraya Cadalso She is an all-terrain woman who never ceases to surprise. Who was a DJ for seven years, now she is the co-founder of the metaverse Uttopionone of the first to have been born in Spain.
She studied nursing, then trained in sales, finance, marketing and music. She has worked as a venue programmer, promoter with knowledge in music production and DJ. She has also been a professional soccer player for ten years and claims that she has always had a entrepreneurial vision.
Now, Cadalso dedicates all its efforts to Uttopion, a company of which she is co-founder. Its about first metaverse without barrierswhere it is possible to create exclusive content in personalized spaces, connect with your friends and your community in a simple way.
“The fact of having the first metaverse in Spain, massively supported, means that the main companies, both the most innovative and many other traditional ones, want to be present in it,” says Cadalso.
This metaverse has two communities in Spain, of which 500 plots of each have been put up for sale. The first, Musichood Spain, which since its first version created two years ago, has held more than 200 events such as the Mad Cool Talent of Vibra Mahou, with more than 8,000 connected users or the festival of Oro Viejo by Dj Nano, with 4,700 people connected at the same time.
The second community that Uttopion has is Sportsvilla Spain. This community, like Musichood, has half of the parcels intended to host content related to sports themes. These spaces are an opportunity for content creators.
As co-founder of a company that “grows every day“, Soraya Cadalso performs countless tasks. “I am the CCO, every day I have an infinite number of meetings with different profiles to close synergies, partners, clients, training…”. But, above all, her mind is awake because for her The important thing “is to read a lot and develop the creative part.”
She points out that to make the decisions required by a project like Uttopion, it is necessary to be permanently connected.
Question: How did the idea of creating Uttopion come about?
The idea arose when the pandemic made us have to close the premises that a group of partners had in the central area of Madrid. At that time, I was in charge of managing cultural programming.
Once confined, we decided to create a platform that at that time was called Musichood and that was based on an experience added to the simple act of watching a video, always related to the music sector.
We did more than a hundred events. This allowed us to test the technology we were developing, in addition to validating different business models. At that time they took us for crazy, but we were building the first Spanish metaverse, opening our first music vertical. Today the concepts include music, sports, art, teaching, finances, product sales…
Why did you decide to create it?
We saw that there was an acceleration in technological development and we had to create a space that allowed both physical and economic interaction around a virtual world between people, through avatars.
How does it work?
It depends if you are a user or content creator. You can easily access Uttopion from a website or from a mobile device. Once inside, you can enjoy experiences, meet other users, in short, interact both socially and economically in a virtual space where the content is real.
You can buy land, develop your business or virtual space, create events, associate them with a ticketingdo brand activations, rent the space, sell it, meet other content creators…
Our focus is to focus on content and making the metaverse a space that is safe, responsible, and easily accessible to everyone, whether tech-savvy or not.
Could you cite any brand or influencer who has made use of the metaverse? How have they used it?
We are in the final phase of testing our metaverse. Although we have already done one of the first closed events, which consisted of a charity dinner for Ukraine, where NFTs were sold to help refugees. The designer Javier Mariscal and the actor Antonio Resines participated, who acted as a speaker on different social networks.
How many users do they have?
We have around 100,000. The users come from the initial phase of the Musichood project, they are not recurring or active users, since the aim was only to test the technology at the beginning of the project.
Yes, we can give an estimated figure based on the land sold, having invoiced more than one million euros since mid-February, taking into account that each owner has communities in their canals, but as I say, they are still estimates.
Do you have other projects in hand?
Right now there is no time for other projects, but we would like to later create a space in the center of Madrid that allows content creators to have easy access to technology to launch that content through Uttopion.
