Manicures in earth tones are back this fall (and this is how it’s time to show them off)
Rainbow nails, pop tones, glitter… summer usually encourages the choice of striking manicures. With the following season, neutral and earthy colors return, both in fashion and beauty.
This is how Maribi Arnedo, training director of Bio Sculpture Spain, reminds us: “after the summer, we move away from the strongest, most cheerful and daring tones to give way to the colors of nature that will accompany us throughout the fall, such as veiled white, clay brown, mustard, moss green and some very specific pinks and blues, in this last case the Kleinas forceful as it is flattering”.
Briyi Bri, makeup artist at Amelia Cosmetics, also highlights for this season the natural, pink and transparent tones: “They are perfect for short nails, simple and elegant but always fashionable, as are metallic ones, which provide the nail with a different and glamorous finish. We will also see some reddish and chocolate ones.”
“Forest greens, coffee browns or sunset oranges will be the leading tones of the trend” stand out from essie, recommending their tones Win me Over, All Checked out and Cold Brew.
The experts at Amelia Cosmetics point to another revival from two seasons ago: the milky nailswhich combine with almost any color: “In addition to an air of distinction, this type of manicure gives a rejuvenating appearance to our nails with its translucent effect, like nude, similar to the color of milk.”
Jennifer Silverio, official ORLY manicurist, advises applying a single coat of polish and reinforcing the shine with a good top coatalso protecting that watery tone that is intended to be given to our nails, fixing the shine and sealing the lacquer: “It is a beautiful, functional and applicable manicure at any time, far from fashions and with an advantage that others do not have, that few others have. Sometimes we get tired of it given its versatility.”
Which shade to opt for? The color of the skin, taking into account its tan, is key: “sIf we still have our summer tan, we have to choose softer and clearer terracottas that do not blend with our skinwe will change to darker tones such as brick red, clay or chocolate as the weeks go by” explains manicurist Stephani Torres, who also points out that “the ideal manicure is always the one that, linked to each season, contributes the most to improving our state of mind. encouragement in a positive sense.”
