Teresa Rione is CCO of Grifols, a global healthcare company that manufactures pharmaceutical products. She has been the person who has managed to get the company to sponsor women’s football at the European level. In addition, she is a former record-holder athlete in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she became the first Spaniard to pass a qualifying round in the speed test, remaining one place away from the semi-finals with a time of 11.55. She also participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and represented Club Esportiu Universitari de Barcelona and Club Gimnastic Barcelonès, with whose colors she obtained the Spanish marks in both distances.
